Hello! I'm Will Acorn. I'm a husband, a dad, a dad, a dad, a Latter-day Saint, and a graduate student. I'm an itinerant thinker and writer looking for a place to plant myself. I love a good story, a beautiful phrase, or a new idea. This site is a home for bits and pieces of writing that I do for fun, though some of the academic or theological essays may have been originally written for a class. I'm hoping to post new writing regularly, with a new piece approximately every two weeks.
You may have guessed that Will Acorn is not my real name, which it isn't. Let's just say that I, like an acorn, fell from an oak tree. Furthermore, identity is a complicated thing, especially on the internet, and so I'm trying to keep my name and other personally identifying information out of this for now. I'm not intending to use anonymity as a shield or a chance to say or do rude or inappropriate things. If you want to know more about me or have any questions or comments (I welcome them!) you can always send me an email at willacorn0.9@gmail.com.
Everything you find on here I still consider to be in draft form, and I reserve the right to edit or take things down at any time. I reserve all other rights as well, so please ask before reproducing things you find here or anything like that. With that said, please enjoy the site!
And, if you are interested, here are some links to things I've been reading recently that you might find worthwhile in one way or another:
Brian Doyle - Dawn and Mary (Really important right now since we are just past 10 years)
Tyler Vigen - The Mystery of the Bloomfield Bridge
